Educational Qualification (as on 21.07.2026)

A graduation degree in any discipline from a university recognised by the Government of India. The final result must have been declared on or before 21.07.2026, and candidates must mention their graduation percentage while registering online. CGPA holders must convert their score into percentage as per university norms.

Nationality

Citizens of India, subjects of Nepal or Bhutan, Tibetan refugees who came to India before 1 January 1962, and persons of Indian origin migrated from specified countries (with an eligibility certificate from the Government of India) are eligible.

The descriptive paper may cover economic and social issues, emerging trends in banking and technology, current events, and ethics. Notably, IBPS has stated it may be evaluated by a validated automated scoring mechanism.

Negative Marking

For every wrong answer in the objective tests, 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted. Unattempted questions carry no penalty.

Personality Test & Interview

Candidates clearing the Mains will appear for a Personality Test (self-report, non-qualifying but mandatory) followed by a Common Interview of 100 marks. Minimum qualifying marks in the interview are 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD). The final merit is prepared with an 80:20 weightage of Mains and Interview — Prelims marks are not counted in the final merit.

  3. Upload the required documents: photograph, signature, left thumb impression, handwritten declaration, 10th standard certificate, and scribe certificate (if applicable). You will also need to capture a live photograph via webcam or mobile.

  • Photographs: Keep about 8 copies of the same photo uploaded in the application — they will be needed at multiple stages.
